commercial pilot license (Cpl)

build a career in aviation?

The club has two aircraft the Tecnam Sierra P2002 and a Piper Tomahawk available for PPL (Professional Pilot License) and CPL (Commercial Pilot License) flight training.

Pilots with a CPL may fly as pilot‐in‐command on a single pilot aircraft, or as a co‐pilot on a multi‐crew aircraft for hire and reward. You can hold a CPL once you are 18 years old.

To obtain a CPL, you need to complete six CPL theory subjects (Human Factors, Air Law, Meteorology, Navigation, General Aircraft Technical Knowledge, Principals of Flight), and a minimum of 200 hours of flight time covering the New Zealand CAA CPL syllabus.

If you are interested in the Commercial Pilot Program we suggest you contact the club for more information.
